We recently moved to Bluffton from the DC area. My daughter started at Bluffton Elementary two days after our move. The teachers and staff have been so helpful and considerate with us during this transition. My daughter is very happy with her teachers. She loves the "Special" classes that they have-art, music, dance.
She is still getting used to wearing a uniform and going to a year round school, but overall she's very happy.

Tracy, I can help you. My 16 year old went to Bluffton Elementary and it is a great school, Second the Okatie Elementary (should they change the zoning) I have known the principal there for years and she is great everyone I talk to loves that school as well. My 16 year old also when to the Bluffton Middle School and she did very well and is a SC Scholar, she now attends the Bluffton High School and is a junior still doing very well and headed for Clemson. Her test scores are very high. My older daughter went to the Public Schools and she 28 years old and licenced general contractor and owns her own business. My 5 year old grand daughter who lives with me goes to Cross Early Childhood School for Kindergarten and we both love it. There is no bussing for the private schools how ever cross has a great after school program that both children from there school and from the public school and the public school bus drops the children off. My seller at 3 Plantation House is a certified special ed teacher and work for Bluffton Schools until her little guy came along and she thinks that the schools in Bluffton are very good schools. I have clients that moved here from Jersey 3 years ago and both of there boys go to the MC Riley Elementary and they love it, both the boys and the parents. My older grandson went to both the Bluffton Elementary and the Hilton Head Elementary and has done well in both, my daughter was happiest with HH Elem. Because my grandson had a male teacher, now he is in the HH Middle School and she does not feel it is any better that the Bluffton Middle. Also, St. Gregory opened the catholic school this year and that is very close to Rose Hill and very reasonable. Personally, I have been here for 23 years and we prefer Bluffton over Hilton Head for raising children for many reasons and for many other reasons – insurance is lots cheaper, getting work done is less expensive, everything is more convenient and there is still room for lots more to come, and the people are great, with a huge blend.

Oh by the way I just confirmed with the Owner that they are Okatie schools and they are great!!! That is where my granddaughter will go next year for 1st grade by my choice
