Opening of Red Cedar Elementary School delayed

Published Thursday, July 19, 2007
The size of a new Bluffton-area elementary school is being boosted to accommodate an additional 150 students as part of a design change that will push back the school's opening date to 2009.

Architects are redesigning Red Cedar Elementary School to fit 800 students, an upgrade Beaufort County School District officials hope will ease some of the area's growing pains. The school will be built on 18.5 acres on Red Cedar Lane near its intersection with Bluffton Parkway.

District officials had hoped the school would open in August 2008, allowing students to begin the academic year in the new building.

Family finds perfect home for school

Published Wednesday, September 27, 2006

Now they are starting over again, with the new Branch Christian School on Hilton Head Island. Even though they only have a dozen students, they think the school will have a bright future.  Click here to see entire article:  http://www.islandpacket.com/news/local/story/6123356p-5363453c.html
